Tō Mana, Tō Reo - Your Power, Your Voice Hoodie

"Tō Mana, Tō Reo" — Your Power, Your Voice

A collaboration between River Jayden & ActionStation

This custom artwork is a call to action: a reminder that we hold the power and the voice to create real change, especially when we step up to vote.

At the heart of the design is the Tokotoko (an orator’s staff) which is deeply rooted in Te Ao Māori. Customarily held by kaikōrero (speaker) on the ātea of the marae, a tokotoko carries rich whakapapa (ancestry). Its intricate carvings tell the story of one’s iwi, marae, and tūpuna, while its wooden form connects us directly to nature and Tāne Mahuta (God of the Forest).

In this piece, the tokotoko stands as a symbol for raising your voice, speaking up, and casting your vote. It invites us to speak our truth and reflect on what matters most: honoring those who came before us, protecting te taiao (enviroment), and shaping the future for those who follow.

Finished with a custom, hand-crafted font designed by River Jayden, this tee is a wearable declaration: we have the power to stand up for what we believe in.
