"Te Rere o te Tītī" - Glass Framed Print

River Jayden captures the dynamic, soaring flight of the Tītī (Muttonbird) through a striking, vibrant colour palette and distinctive line work. The bird commands the centre of the composition, illuminated by an electric colour palette.

A bold poutama pattern grounds the work, its ascending steps reflecting the migratory path of the Tītī.

For Māori, the Tītī, or mutton bird, is a profound taonga and a vital pillar of mahinga kai (traditional food gathering). The Tītī represents incredible endurance, survival, and an unbroken connection to the natural cycles of the environment.
