Waharoa is the gateway or the main walk or roadway in the pā, marae or sometimes, burial grounds. In a spiritual sense it's the gateway into Te Ao Māori (The Māori World), it's the walkway into Māori culture which includes everything from our waiata, haka, challenge and kōrero.
